Chris Doyle never ceases to amaze us when he hits the dirt, probably one of the very riders who really fits every aspect of dirt as much as he does on the streets. Darryl Tocco aided us here by editing up this trails video of Chris, effortlessly cruising through lines and throwing in the odd tweaked 360 invert amongst others…enjoy! Thanks again to Darryl Tocco.

Chris is a household name in BMX, always a dedicated rider to any brand he represents and also happens to ride dirt, park and street like an absolute animal. Chris was a good choice for FUSE, he full understands the importance of protecting your self while out riding.

We got to know Chris a little better…

Date of birth?!

April 30, 1981

Where are you from?
Born in the tiny town of Greenville, PA. Raised in Raleigh, NC. Now living in beautiful Pittsburgh, PA.

Who do you ride for?
Kink Bicycles, DC Shoes and Apparel, Demolition, Fuse Pads (duh), Duo, Empire BMX.

Describe your current bike setup in three words.
Black, fast, brakes.

Can you lace a wheel?
Nope, and I just learned how to tru a wheel. I’m a lousy bike mechanic.

What got you into riding small kids bikes ?
I have an older brother who was really into bikes when we were little. He liked to tinker with different bikes and mix-and-match different parts with different frames. Naturally, as I wanted to be like my older bro, I got into bikes as well and started riding his creations. BMX was/is fun, exciting, and dangerous – all of the things that attract active little kids.

Do you have any interests besides riding?
I played on a soccer team last year. However, due to a heavy riding travel schedule, I was only able to play in 2 games. I’m also in the process of try to get a road bike and I’d like to participate in “The Dirty Dozen” bike race here in Pittsburgh next month. Little things come and go, but nothing holds my attention the way that BMX has over the years.

Cigarettes or chewing gum?
Neither. However, gum is the lesser of the two evils.

What’s in your pockets?
I’m naked.

What do you bring with you when you go out riding?
An open mind and a good attitude…. and lately, a helmet.

Name 5 things you always take on a roadtrip.
Friends, tools, clothes, phone, deodorant

Places you visited so far that really stood out.
I’ve been to so many places now but so far, nothing has been able to top New Zealand.

What would you change in BMX?
I’d like to see an industry that works together for the greater good of the future of BMX and not just individual interests.

What inspires you to do what you do on your bike?
My friends, my scene, being happy and healthy.

Any shout outs?
Shout outs to all my friends and family. Thanks to all of my sponsors and the people who work for them, I’m extremely fortunate to be a part of so many great brands in BMX. Thanks to Paul for hooking this whole thing up and allowing me to be a part of Fuse Pads. Shout out to you, the reader, if you’ve made it this far!
